Region 5 AQHYA

• What is the fundraiser for? 
  • All proceeds will go towards the 2026 Region 5 Youth Leadership Conference (R5YLC).
• What is the R5YLC? 
  • For over 20 years, the AQHYA Region 5 Directors have hosted a youth conference. This year, the two-day conference approached the 100-attendee mark and was filled with fun, friendship and education! More information about the upcoming conference will be posted at www.region5aqhya.com as details are made available.
• How many calendars will be distributed?  
  • At least 160 copies will be distributed throughout Region 5. Five copies will be provided to each highest bid winner in December 2025. We are also planning to give a copy to every 2026 R5YLC attendee.
• Where and how will the bidding occur?  
  • The online auction extension link will be posted on the AQHYA Region 5 Facebook (button above), Instagram and website. Anyone will be able to view the online auction website, but you will need to register with the page to place a bid. Each month will have its own image and a starting bid of $75. Bidders will be able to increase the current bid in $5 increments. Bids will close at the specified time unless a final bid is placed within the last 30 seconds; then the bidding duration will be extended for another three more minutes.
• What if I am busy and unable to place multiple bids, how else can I support this fundraiser?                                                        There are several ways you can still show your support:
  • Set a proxy bid. After registering with the platform, a bidder may set a maximum potential bid for each month. As bids come in, the system will bid on your behalf and send an email to you to update you on a bid change. 
  • Use the "buy-it now" option. During the auction extension, each month has a buy-it now price set. 
  • Spread the opportunity. Do you know someone that would like to promote their business, training facility or lesson program? Maybe an association that would like to post 2026 dates? Or a quarter horse and rider pair looking to rock the competition pen in 2026? Please share this opportunity with them.
  • Order your own calendar. We will accept paid orders from the public in mid-October.
• What type of ads need to be submitted?  
  • The highest bid winners will submit a colored image (10" x 7.5") for a 12-month spiral bound wall calendar. Full bid payment and a released for print image to the AQHYA Region 5 administrator by October 31st. Ads can be submitted to promote or highlight:
    • Youth exhibitor and QH pair
    • State affiliate promoting 2026 dates
    • QH training facility
    • Show off your 2026 QH show string
    • Tack store, equine photographer, feed store
    • QH stallion
    • Judge, trainer, coach
    • General business interested in supporting the future of youth!

** ALL MONTHS MUST RECEIVE A MINIMUM BID OF $75 FOR THE CALENDAR TO BE CREATED**
